As your resident pin-up girl, webmaster & cyber flirt, this is the place to find out all the dirty details about me!

Age: 27
Location: near Seattle, WA
Status: single, but with a very possessive pug

I grew up in the middle of Canada, in a schizophrenic city with some the hottest summers & coldest winters I've ever experienced. I had a wonderful childhood (no, I was not abused in any way). We took advantage of the seasons with family ski trips in the winter & big pool parties in the summer. I didn't have a lot of friends growing up (still don't!), but I was lucky enough to meet a few great girls that I really connected with. I was incredibly shy as a child, so making new friends or walking into a school dance all by myself was pure torture. The fact that my hips & booty developed before any of the other girls didn't help any & the boys loved to tease me about my big butt. By the time I got to high school, Sir MixALot's I Like Big Butts became my anthem.

Being self-conscious didn't deter my boy-craziness though! I loved to wear tight shirts (who needs a bra?!) & short dresses with knee socks. I briefly did the whole baggy jeans/grunge-thing, but fortunately it didn't last. What did last was the desire to get out of my small city & see the world. When I was just 18 years old, I traveled by myself to Australia & backpacked across the country for close to a year. There were many moments of self-discovery on that trip, but the most memorable one was when I was sitting on a bus, heading north up to Cairns. I knew that if I didn't get over my shyness & try to strike up a conversation with somebody, I would have a very lonely holiday in front of me. The fear of being alone outweighed my fear of saying the wrong thing & looking like an idiot. I hooked up with some cool travelers from all over the world & had an amazing trip.

When my Mastercard finally ran out of space, I flew home only to discover that living with my parents, as loving & supportive as they are, just wasn't quite the same after running amuck for months on end with no supervision. I decided to go west (young man) & crashed at my sister's place in Alberta for a few months as I worked & saved up enough money to make another pilgrimage, this time to South America.

Unfortunately, I'm still saving for that trip! Life, love & a million other things have gotten in the way since that original game plan. Though I'm sure my doggies would love the rainforest, I think that trip will have to wait a little longer.

Yup, I'm a self-proclaimed nerd. Straight As in school might be pretty common, but how about scoring 100% on my grade eleven physics exam? More evidence:

* I worked as a tech support cubicle monkey for western Canada's largest Internet Service Provider

* I play MTG (badly, but I adore the cards)

Yes, I really am the girl next door. Just nakeder.

* I stayed up for close to 3 days straight playing Fable. Yes, my XBox 360 is modded, though I'm thinking about selling it now that I finally got my hands on a Wii. It's so much more fun to play with your whole body.

* I didn't camp out, but I did ensure that I saw Episode I & II & III on opening night. As a kid, I colored wrapping paper tubes red & green to craft light sabers (which of course, broke immediately). I often sat with my yellow baby blanket tented over my head & pretended I was Yoda.

* I am addicted to CSI. The original is my favorite, though David Caruso is fun to mock. NY isn't really doing it for me. Not sure why...

* I have more on-line friends than IRL. On second thought, scratch that - that's more lame than nerdy. I'm very anti-social & prefer the comforts of home than loud bars or the oh-so-trendy, the whole world is Welsh pubs. Maybe I just need a 'script for Paxil. =P

* I do all the work on this site myself, from the patched together PHP scripts to the server admin to the non-validating code. The fact that I don't code elegantly should not cost me geek points, IMO. I will not farm out tech work to India!

* I have eaten at Quark's Bar in Vegas.

I know, I know...I don't look anything like a "real" model. Growing up in the snowbanks of Canada & only reaching a height of 5"5, I had no intentions of ever gracing the pages of a magazine. Like most of my girlfriends, I did obsess over the lanky gals with blinding smiles that taunted us with their airbrushed beauty from the pages of Seventeen, YM & later, Cosmopolitan. But no, I had no illusions of grandeur. Until the internet came along & changed everything!

Like most people, after dialing up & connecting to the internet for the first time, I searched for things like my favorite bands, movies & assorted mainstream stuff. But it didn't take long before I started typing in a little racier search terms. I soon discovered the plethora of porn available on the web & was shocked, but delighted, to find that the most popular sites were not ones that featured plastic-looking Barbie Does Porno babes, rather they were the personal homepages of regular housewives & girls that truly look like the girl next door. This was the shot of confidence I needed. If these women can do it...why can't I?

It wasn't quite as simple as, "And the rest is history!", but I did make it. I've always had an interest in photography & started by taking very amateur shots of myself with my Kodak DC290. As I learn more about lighting & exposure, my desire to boost the quality of my shots keeps growing & this site is a reflection of the more professional look I'm trying to develop. Of course I'll continue to include my amateur, "real life" snapshots, but I would love to work with some talented photographers that can bring a different feel to my photos. Not having to maneuver around my remote control would be handy too!

Why a nude web site? Well, obviously I have a bit of a wild side. But the fact is, I've led a very responsible, kinda boring life so far. I got my first job at the age of 13, working in the canteen of a hockey arena. While my friends went to sleep-overs & stayed up late, I had to be at work to open up for those brutal Saturday morning 7:00 a.m. practices.  School was a priority too & my part time job earnings went to paying for my university education, not trendy jeans.

Snapshots

I have, however, had a love affair with pin-up girls for as long as I can remember. I was in awe of the beautiful, curvy women of Playboy when I unearthed my Dad's stash as a young girl. I had no idea what sex was yet or exactly why I found these particular magazines so fascinating, but I remember gently turning each page as if it were made of gold. As a teenager, my room was plastered with images of Marilyn Monroe & I read all of the biographies written about her cover to cover.  I picked out a few glossy 8X10s at that funky shop in the Seattle fish market area last year & now have those in my bedroom to add a little bit of glam to the dirty laundry on the floor.  And of course, what trip to Hollywood would be complete without a walk of fame snapshot?

There is something intoxicating about the idea of creating an image, especially one of myself taken by myself, that will live on long after my body has wrinkled, sagged & eventually turned to dust. And of course, it's a fabulous excuse for spending ridiculous amounts of money on hair products, pedicures & sexy lingerie, all in the name of business rather than vanity. *wink wink*

I love long walks on the beach. You too? No shit! I think the only possible person who doesn't enjoy walking by the sea is Larry David. But since most model sites include some sort of silly list of favorite things, I won't rock the boat & disappoint.

Fave Music: I have very eclectic tastes ranging from hip hop with a solid beat to get me moving on the treadmill to slick jazz while curled up on the couch with a glass of wine. I love (in no particular order) Pearl Jam, Headstones, Van Morrison, Philosopher Kings, Me'shell N'dgeocello, Michael Brecker, Pat Metheny, Weezer, Alanis Morisette, Buju Banton, Eminem, Sting, Nine Inch Nails, Bob Marley, Godsmack, Oasis, Etta James, Ludacris, Annie Lennox, KISS, Green Day, Tragically Hip, Seal, Lionel Richie (I know..lame), Sade, Missy Elliot, Madonna, Velvet Revolver, Watchmen, John Mayer, Benny Bennassi, Coldplay, Norah Jones & probably heaps of others that I'm forgetting. Music to me is like a soundtrack for my day, so it changes with my moods. Chicks are moody, btw.

Last CD I Bought: soundtrack for Into the Wild

Last MP3 I downloaded: podcasts, baby!

Fave TV: I'm finally getting over my reality show addiction after going cold turkey with America's Next Top Model. I was just in time for the new wave of good TV, so my time is now spent waiting patiently for new episodes of Heroes and CSI. I love sitcoms like Two and a Half Men and the Big Bang Theory too. I should really get out more.

Fave Flicks: I'm an avid NetFlix-er & a night out on the town for me usually includes catching a movie at some point. But there are a few movies that I buy to watch over & over again. The ones that made the cut include: LOTR, Office Space, True Romance, Laurel Canyon, Gone with the Wind, Gross Pointe Blank, Next Stop Wonderland, Suicide Kings, L.A. Confidential, American Beauty, The Usual Suspects, Fight Club, Almost Famous, Trainspotting, Rockstar, Amelie, Little Miss Sunshine, anything by Woody Allen.

Other Interests: I like to read, mostly non-fiction, but I do love some Gen-X targeted authors like Douglas Coupland & Irvine Welsh. I work out 4 or 5 times per week. I'm a journal whore. I keep tabs on several web personalities & can't eat my Cheerios without reading a blog or two. I like poker but have the all time worst poker face, so I stick to on-line or friendly kitchen table tournaments.  I play soccer, both indoor & outdoor. I snowboard. Badly.

I love to travel & get itchy feet after being in one place for too long. I'd really love to tour Europe this summer - hit the Glastonbury music festival, bike through vineyards, take in some art. That's many Euros away, unfortunately.

I have two dogs that I baby in that sickening way Paris Hilton is making popular. They're too big to carry around as fashion accessories, but I do absolutely adore them. How could I not? They know all my secrets & have never spilled the beans!

I love photography, both touring galleries, poring over glossy coffee table books & actually snapping away. I've taken a few classes & have my own darkroom equipment, though my SLR is fairly dusty in favor of my digital these days. I had some of my photos displayed in a gallery a few years ago. It has since burned down. No connection, I'm told.

If anyone is still reading this, it's about time to either join the club to get all of me or head over to my blog to see what I'm rambling about today!
