Super Bowl Weekend

I drove down to Portland for the weekend to visit with my friends Torn and Kat of KatVixen.com who were throwing a Super Bowl party. Growing up in Canada, Super Bowl was never a huge thing. I remember watching the game, but this was my first official Super Bowl party and it definitely lived up to my expectations.
Chili? Check!
Beer? Check!
Big screen TV? Check!
Steak? Pizza? Homemade broccoli and cheese soup? Check! Check! Check!
I'm amazed that I was able to get off the couch at all after that spread. Yum.
The game itself was great because I went in not really caring who won. I tend to root for the underdogs, so if Baby Manning was able to pull it off & live up to the family name? Brothers winning MVP back to back years? Easy to cheer for. On the other hand, if the Patriots had won and played the perfect season, it's easy to be excited about watching a moment of football history. So either way, the game was a win-win for me. I just wanted to see a good game, not a blow out. And that's exactly what we got.
So did you win any money on the game? *wink*
