Friday Giggle

Snagged from the fab folks at Cute Overload

So far 2008 is off to a slow start for me. It's probably a combination of the grey weather, short daylight hours and the cold I'm coming down with (*cough*), but I needed a giggle this morning. Maybe you do too? Silly squirrels for everyone!

I've felt rather out of sorts all week. My skin is itchy, especially my neck and my eyes. I keep changing my clothes because I feel like I'm allergic to everything that touches me. I want to soak in a bathtub full of lotion.

Then there's all the sleeping. I have so little morning light in my bedroom that it's easy to sleep late, but I've been getting a ridiculous amount of zzzz's this week. 10 or 11 hours in bed? Without any sex??? Something is not right.

I've been coughing and snuffling a lot today, which is sort of a relief. At least there's a legitimate viral reason for my 2008 malaise. I'm not, you know, destined to have a shitty year.

I did get out to my yoga class yesterday and that felt really good. It's not the kind of class where you're sweating or are doing anything that will burn off all that, say, fruitcake you ate over the holidays, but it did feel really good to get in touch with my body. Yoga forces me to slow down and notice things like my breath, my vertebrae, my hips. I didn't realize how sore my back was until I was in the middle of the class. I can now pinpoint exactly where it's sore too (the lower right side) rather than just the general achy back feeling I get when I've been working at my desk for too many hours in a row.



I'm going to hit the afternoon class today and may attempt the treadmill too if my coffee ever kicks in. Then? Lots more photo editing so I can get my new fuzzy red sock pictures up for members. Those are bound to lift everyone's spirits!
