Merry Christmas!

I'm staying at my sister's house for the next couple of days and my nephews are absolutely bouncing off the walls with xmas excitement. I could use a little quiet time myself. I'll be heading home soon enough and doing a small dinner with my housemates. Would've loved to have seen my parents and grandma this year, but the smaller gathering is a nice change and definitely less stressful than trying to coordinate everyone. Drama always ensues.

Is it bad that all I want for xmas is to curl up in bed with my doggies and a good book? Or my laptop? I guess I shouldn't be surprised that the holidays do not magically bring out my social tendencies. Hmmm...I'm a lot like Santa actually. I love getting letters, but visiting other people's houses? Let's leave it at once a year, OK?
