It's Gnome Of Your Business

What a crazy week! Was there some planet in retrograde or other woowoo nonsense I can blame? Whatever the reason, it seemed appropriate to post pics from my trip to Vancouver Island a few weeks ago since I've been running around like a chick who's lost her head, I might as well be keeping the company of gnomes too! The whole week has felt like I was racing around doing anything but what I'd been expecting to do. And having lots of fun while I'm at it, mind you. Case in point:
I picked up The Lord of
The big project that's been monopolizing my time this week is part of a non-adult craft site I've been researching. It's been...interesting.
After years of doing nude modeling and running adult sites, I've gotten used to keeping what I do under wraps. My good friends and family know that I do *something* in the XXX world, but don't know exactly what it is or how to find my site. They all seem to prefer it that way. I drop hints once in a while, but it's been made painfully obvious that they would prefer to be kept in the dark. Actually, they'd prefer I'd quit entirely! Fortunately, I'm stubborn, so we've got a strict "don't ask, don't tell" policy. I refuse to quit doing something I love just because everyone in my life thinks that good girls don't take their clothes off on the internet. *grin*
Needless to say, I've become accustomed to separating my naked stuff with my non-naked stuff. You can imagine my surprise when I discovered this week that even in "mainstream" internet, webmasters are rabidly protecting their identities to the extent that many will use a different pen name for each site they develop. They'll have different Facebook profiles and email addresses for each market they work in. I'm assuming this is done more to hide their business models from their colleagues than from friends and family, but I was still shocked at how much effort they put into preventing the people they work with from poaching their ideas. I thought the adult market was sleazy! Turns out these crafty scrapbook people are the ones to look out for. Ha!
As soon as I get off this computer, I'm planning to spend the weekend getting pampered and pretty so I can shoot some new photos and movies on Monday. If you have any suggestions, please let me know. You can leave a comment here or if you prefer more privacy, just shoot me an email - kris at krismadison.com
One of my long time members, Wil, has asked me several times to do more movies where I'm talking, so that is at the top of my list. I feel like a goofball when I listen to my own voice, so I'm too quick to just play music over it instead. I know, I know...everyone hates the way they sound when they're recorded and of all the people I've heard who say they hate their voice, they usually sound just fine. So. No excuses for me!
Have a happy weekend. And remember, good girls do! =)
