Friday Catch Up

Quick jaunt to the airport at 6:00 am & now I'm in catch up mode. I had a really great holiday, but I'm happy to be home. And alone. Ahhhhh...peace and quiet!

Before I can dive back in to work, I need to play taxi for the morning - the Lord's truck broke down yesterday so I'm chauffeuring him from the mechanic shop to a job to...somewhere else I can't remember.

This is actually fabulous news. I *hate* asking people for favors and prefer to take care of myself 100%. If I can't do something on my own, I'll pay a professional to do the work. Asking friends to help me move or paint or drive me to the airport is just not my style. Hmmmm...5 hours of backbreaking work for a slice of pizza and 2 beers? Sweet!

So when it came to buying a new couch for my place, I was reluctant to impose on my landlord. Quick access to his truck and competing with bargain-hunting vultures Craigslisters forced my hand and I'm now the proud owner of a very comfy, very cheap sofa.

Today I get to repay the favor. That makes me happy happy happy. =)
