I Heart Heroes
After weeks of waiting impatiently for the next episode of Heroes, it delivered beautifully with an awesome, edge of your seat show last night. I think I somehow missed an episode though. The last one I saw left Claire's dad on the bridge with the Haitian and left me in tears. I knew the show was fun and exciting, but never would've guessed I'd be sad to the point of tears too.
I'm now on a mission to track down the show I missed. I know there are quite a few shows that people are really hooked on and watch obsessively (24, Lost etc.), but this is the first show that I really got into like that. When you don't watch the first couple of episodes of these kind of shows, it's too late to get on the bandwagon. I will probably watch them on DVD though when I can enjoy a whole season over the course of a few weeks. I love The Sopranos (who doesn't?), but the breaks in between seasons are just wayyy too long. The emotional investment in the characters wears off when you haven't had an update in a while. It's become almost like a sitcom now with the way I'll leave an old episode from season 2 playing in the background while I'm working or doing the dishes. Vastly different from the no talking, lights out! focus that it once had and Heroes now enjoys.
