It's Oh So Quiet

Three cheers for wireless internet! Woohooooo! I got the key to my new pad a few days ago, but with no internet access (there was some confusion as to what the password was) & no TV or stereo, it's been pretty lonely here. The movers were supposed to have arrived with my stuff on the weekend. After several phone calls I still don't know where the truck is or when they are going to deliver my wordly possessions. I'm supposed to get a call tomorrow with some kind of ETA. I won't hold my breath!

It's so frustrating trying to get settled without things like towels or dishes. I can't cook at home so I've been subsisting on a diet of chips & easter eggs. Not good!

My landlord was very sweet & brought down a (really) ghetto blaster to give us some tunes as we set up my new bed. I was thrilled to have his help since all of my tools are being held hostage by the moving company. Fortunately the new mattress I ordered arrived today & I'm happily typing away from the only place to sit in my new home. I'm glad I went for the crazy 4 inch pillow top style now. Heavenly!

I need to pick out a new desk & monitor tomorrow & then I'll be able to hook up my main computer. It's tough to work from my laptop when I don't have the same bookmarks & passwords saved.

I was able to snag a few work hours from Trixie's place though & updated Kris Madison with some pics I snapped at a hotel in Seattle. I'll post some samples once I get my office set up.

Let's see how well this wireless holds up on YouTube. I need a TV fix to really feel at home. =)
