Coming Together

Piggy has been a huge help in overseeing the construction of my new Ikea crap. Every time I buy something from there I come home, put it together, realize what junk it is & swear that I will never buy anything from that store again. I like the simple designs that can be put anywhere. I love the walk-through viewing experience. I hate particle board veneer disposable furniture. This is the kind of stuff you don't bother taking with you when you move, so why did I end up there again?

Mostly because I need furniture & I do not have the patience to drive around an unfamiliar city to discover the great indie shops. I would love to buy some higher quality stuff & will do that eventually. For now, I need things like a desk & a bed. Like, yesterday. I just don't have the time to shop for the perfect desk & if I'm spending more than a couple of hundred bucks, I want to really love it. Ikea's stuff is so cheap that I have no problem making quick decisions.

Now that it's all coming together, I think it will look pretty snappy in my new pad. If only the movers would show up I'd be all set. =)
