I Survived the Blizzard

I'm alive, but I think I'm going crazy.  The sale of my house has officially fallen through & a few days of cocooning were exactly what I needed to kick off a mopey blue streak.  I'm sure this is just a temporary setback, but it's so hard not to feel bummed.  I'm supposed to be moved by now!  It's 2007 & I'm still stuck with this stupid house in a stupid city I don't want to be in.  I would cry but my tears would form icicles & then that would make me even more mad!  lol

I've got my listings up again & have people coming to look this weekend, so that means tonight is the big clean.  It's so frustrating because I had the whole place looking perfect, but after I accepted the sale offer, I kind of trashed it during my packing/organizing/panty shuffle.  That's how everything in my life feels right now - unorganized & chaotic.  I started installing a new program that will help me manage my members area so you can search for photos, sort by category, save favorites & so on.  The real draw is that I can just upload a folder of pictures & it will create all the galleries for me - resize, make the thumbnails, add the watermark, all of it!  This would be a huge time saver for me so I could focus on shooting more pictures.  But of course it doesn't work just right out of the box.  There are a gazillion settings to change & templates to fiddle with & PHP to learn, then code.  One more thing that's sitting completely unfinished.  *rips hair out*

OK...stop whining!  Think positively!  Someone will come this weekend who wants to buy my house in cash, fully furnished for more money than the last offer.  Cross your fingers for me!

  • That truly SUCKS! There are no words for such a dilema, but try to make the best of it. Put an apple pie in the oven, so the house gets that cozy warm homey feel.

I will keep my fingers crossed for you, have a great weekend.

  • Apple pie? And here I was just going to buy some Timbits!

I should really do a video that shows how much work I did on this place. I knew absolutely nothing about carpentry when I started & now I find myself noticing what sloppy jobs professionals do on baseboards all the time! lol
