Shay Laren's Big Beautiful Tits

Sometimes I get annoyed to wake up to an inbox full of viagra offers, hot stock tips & banks I don't deal with trying to "verify my account information". But today's spam was a delightful surprise - meet Shay Laren & her big beautiful tits:

In non-naked babe news, I need a new video camera. Sometimes my camcorder will connect to my computer & I'll be able to convert a movie (like the update from yesterday), but most of the time it just doesn't work. I left it plugged in. I didn't turn off my computer. I was careful not to move the camera at all, but today it won't connect. Again.

I know I've been complaining about my wonky firewire connection for months & I did buy a new camcorder from eBay to fix the problem. Unfortunately, the camera never arrived & after repeated phone calls to the seller, I eventually filed a dispute & got my money refunded (less a $25 processing fee). So the problem remains & my wallet is $25 lighter to boot. Time to hit the local camera shops.

I hit quite a few places last night to compare camcorder prices & the final stop on my list was Best Buy. Big mistake! They had a Sony HDV versus DV camcorder display set up that completely blew me away. Now my quest to buy a little $300 camcorder to use to transfer video shot with my other camera (that still shoots great, just won't connect to my computer reliably) has been upgraded to the tune of $1700. But good gawd do those cameras look amazing!

I've heard a lot of hype about High Def video & for internet purposes, it seems kind of silly. The videos have to be so compressed to be able to play on most computers & the file sizes still end up being huge which equals long waits to download. The few sites I've seen that do offer HD videos won't even play smoothly on my computer. They look great on my video editing box, but my day to day computer isn't powerful enough to play these movies without them looking choppy & stalling constantly. Seemed like another fad hyped up by geeky webmasters rather than normal surfers. But after seeing the video quality side by side? I want it! I want it! I want it! Girls like toys too. =)

Kris Madison - (maybe) coming to a screen near you in high def! (if I have enough room on my credit card)

  • Hi Kris!
You really shouldn't be too worried about resolution, since videos, as you said, are compressed a whole lot anyway for web use (unless you'd like to make a DVD or something.. *cough*) :-) What you SHOULD consider carefully though, is light sensitivity, which is directly related to CCD chip size.
Since you do quite a lot of shooting indoors, you need a camera that handles low light well, and that reduces the field dramatically! Have a look at the camera reviews at camcorderinfo.com or dvspot.com and look for low light performance. Good indoor video quality will make a HUGE impact on the technical quality of you web videos, HDV won't.
(But I know what you mean - I certainly don't need HD, but I want it, too...) :-)
